Microsoft Whiteboard now on Android: shared whiteboards in the cloud

When Satya Nadella took over as CEO of Microsoft, many things began to change. For good. The executive was clear that the direction of trying to fight with Android and iOS in the field of mobility was not a good strategy, and he took a turn of the wheel that the company has felt great.

Since then Microsoft has been focusing much more on services, both for individuals and for companies and educational entities. This is where the application that today has reached Android comes in, although it has been on Windows and iOS for a while.

Is named Microsoft Whiteboard, but it sure is easier to remember it as a collaborative whiteboard app in the cloud.

Drawing and creating in a group in the cloud

Microsoft Whiteboard is the equivalent of a blank whiteboard in the meeting room, hence its name.

The application is designed to be used with your fingers, a keyboard or a stylus, so that the different members of each board can use different devices without problems.

The edition is in real time and we only have to connect using our Microsoft account. It is perfect for group work at school, work meetings …

Of course, it has an important limitation and that is that at the moment the application requires a professional or educational account to make use of the app, not being able to connect only with our lifelong hotmail account.

This version can be downloaded easily from the PlayStore, but it is a Public Preview, that is, it is not a final version. Hopefully when the latter reaches the Google store we can use it with any account.

It seems that Microsoft is accelerating the deployment of productivity applications on Android, following the renewal of Microsoft Lens and the arrival of its password manager.

The entry Microsoft Whiteboard now on Android: shared whiteboards in the cloud appears first in The Free Android.
