Microsoft launches its own password manager for Android

Microsoft has many applications available for Android devices in Spain, such as its Edge browser or Your Phone. In addition to these applications, the firm has its own authentication tool, called Microsoft Authenticator. In this application we are now left with an interesting novelty with the arrival of its own password manager.

This password manager integrates within Microsoft Authenticator, available already in in-app preview for some users. A tool that gives us the usual functions of a password manager and that is synchronized with Edge and Chrome on mobile phones and computers.

Microsoft is studying whether to allow the native installation of Android applications within Windows 10. This movement would be carried out in 2021.

This Microsoft password manager will give us common functions in this type of tool, such as the ability to autocomplete keys. So we will not have to remember each of our passwords. In addition, these passwords will be able to be synchronized on mobile devices and those on desktops, helping us to move between devices with total comfort without any concern.

A Microsoft account will be required to be able to use this new signature tool. In the new Authenticator beta you will be able to activate the password auto-complete function, to activate this manager, which will then start saving all your keys when you log in to a website. For now this feature is available to ordinary users, those with a company account (Enterprise) cannot use it.

One of the advantages of this signature password manager is its operation on mobile and desktop devices from the same account. Its operation in Google Chrome is possible thanks to an extension, which is already available in the browser store. This will allow having the function of autocomplete passwords on any device, allowing that movement from mobile to desktop or vice versa in a simple way.

This password manager is already integrated into Microsoft Authenticator, in the new beta of the same, which can be downloaded now. You may not get this option yet, but it is expected that in the coming days all users who use this application will already have this password manager available on Android.
