LG plans to exit the mobile market after six years of losses, according to Korean sources

LG is considering leaving the mobile market, after almost six consecutive years of losses. The Korea Herald reports that Kwon Bong-seok, CEO of the company, sent an email last Wednesday to his staff, hinting at major changes in the smartphone segment.

In an interview with the media, the CEO of the company indicated that “it’s time to make cold decisions, putting on the table that the possibility of ending the mobile section of LG is not closed, through “a sale, abandonment or reduction of the business”.
