It’s time to update: Microsoft releases Build 19044.1319 for Windows 10 21H2 and Build 19043.1319 for branch 21H1

Microsoft has announced the release of two new builds for computers that still use Windows 10, an operating system that the arrival of Windows 11 It has not subtracted an iota of strength. The company has launched the Build 19044.1319 for Windows 10 21H2 and Build 19043.1319 for Windows 10 on branch 21H1.

In the chaos of the Build 19044.1319 for branch 21H2, is intended for everyone who is part of the Release Preview Test Channel in the Insider Program. For its part, Build associated with patch KB5006738, which is numbered 19043: 1319, is intended for members of the Release Previews Channel Insider Program using Windows 10 May 2021 Update.

Improvements in Build 19044.1319

  • Fixed an issue that prevented you from accessing the pre-provisioning page during the out-of-the-box experience (OOBE). This issue occurs when the credentials page to sign in to Azure Active Directory appears and you press the Windows key five times.
  • A function has been added that facilitates certain data transfers between browsers.
  • Fixes an issue with mapped access methods that are configured with Microsoft Edge as a kiosk app. Sometimes these kiosks may not restart Microsoft Edge if users close the browser window.
  • Fixed an issue where using App-V intermittently caused black screens to appear when you log in to the credentials page.
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent subtitles from being displayed for certain video apps and video streaming sites.
  • Fixed an issue that prevents Windows 10 Virtual Private Network (VPN) users from connecting to Windows Server 2019 Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS) servers.
  • Fixes an issue that prevents software-defined networking (SDN) virtual machines from working when you configure Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) VPN bandwidth throttling.
  • Addresses a Primary Refresh Token (PRT) update issue that occurs when VPN users log in with Windows Hello for Business when the VPN connection is offline. Users receive unexpected authentication requests for online resources that are configured for User Login Frequency (SIF) in Azure Active Directory-Conditional Access.
  • Fixes an issue that caused Windows to enter BitLocker recovery after a service update.
  • Addresses an issue that could cause Kerberos.dll to stop working within the Local Security Authority Subsystem Service (LSASS). This occurs when LSASS processes simultaneous user service requests (S4U) from user to user (U2U) for the same client user.
  • It corrects a code integrity problem which could cause a memory leak.
  • Microsoft Defender for Endpoint capability has been improved to identify and intercept ransomware and advanced attacks.
  • Addresses an issue in the OOBE that could cause Windows AutoPilot provisioning to fail.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented Kana input mode users from inserting a question mark (?) Using the Shift-0 key combination.
  • Fixed an issue that sometimes causes the lock screen to appear black if you enable the slideshow.
  • Fixes a reliability issue with LogonUI.exe, affecting the rendering of network status text on the credentials screen.
  • Addresses an issue that causes server message block (SMB) query directory requests to fail when the buffer size is large.
  • Fixed a memory leak problem in lsass.exe
    on domain controllers in the forest root domain that occurs when you have multiple forests and multiple domains in each forest. The SID naming functions leak memory when a request comes from another domain in the forest and crosses the forest boundaries.
  • Fixes an issue with the virtual machine (VM) load balancing feature, which ignores the fault domain of a site.

Improvements in Build 19043.1319

  • Fixes an issue that prevents accessing the pre-provisioning page during immediate experience (OOBE). This issue occurs when the credentials page to sign in to Azure Active Directory appears and you press the Windows key five times.

The update for Windows 10 21H2 on the Release Preview Channel is available via “Windows Update”, also for those who are part of the Channel by not being able to update to Windows 11 in the Beta Channel. In the case of branch 21H1, if you belong to the Release Preview Channel within the Insider Program, you can download the update by going the usual route, that is, “Settings> Update and Security> Windows Update”.
