The game in the cloud right now has two great protagonists. Microsoft xCloud and Google Stadia. There are others like NVIDIA GeForce Now, PlayStation Now, Amazon Moon… but we are going to focus on the first two. The reason is that Microsoft is updating the Xbox dashboard with an updated version of Edge that allows access to Stadia from the Redmond console.
It is a function that after passing through the testing phase over several months, now reaches all owners of an Xbox One console and Xbox Series S | X. Simply update Edge on the console to be able to access a new version of the browser that, otherwise, does not offer notable differences.
Play Stadia from Xbox with Edge
The version of Edge that comes to the consoles Xbox One and Series X | S It is almost traced to the Edge that we can find on platforms such as Windows PC or macOS. It includes well-known functions such as vertical tabs, synchronization of favorites or collections.

The new Edge browser on Xbox supports the use of the mouse and keyboard, which significantly increases the possibilities offered by being able to use applications of all kinds. And among the possibilities we find that you can now access Google Stadia.
Via Edge on Xbox consoles (One and Series X | S) we can access Stadia, and access all the titles on the platform since the system is capable of automatically detecting the Xbox controller in the same way that we would if we play from our computer or Chromecast.
Also and although Xbox does not have a Discord application yet, you can access the web version and join voice calls and participate in text channel chats. Yes indeed, services such as NVIDIA GeForce Now cannot be accessed for now with this new version of Edge, since NVIDIA blocks this access.
