Slack for Android was not storing passwords well, and this is a problem
In recent days, Slack has been warning its users about password problems. If you have not received the email or you have ignored it but you are using the Android application, you should give it a look, since your password could be compromised.
What has happened?According to Slack, its Android application had abug which caused the credentials (your username and password) to be stored in plain text format. This bug was present in the application between December 21, was discovered on January 20, 2021 and corrected the next day, January 21, 2021.

Although it is possible that nothing has happened with your password, it is possible that any application could have access during that period to your username and password, so from Slack they recommend that you change the password, going to Slack.com and going to the settings from your account. If you have the bad practice of using that password on other websites or applications, change them on these as well (and avoid repeating passwords again).
Slack indicates that your app has been secure since it was updated. Although it is possible that the application has already been updated automatically, in case you have automatic updates disabled,remember to update the application.
