Huawei works on a folding similar to the Fold with variable thickness

Huawei is one of the brands that already have a folding in the market, the Mate Xs, which did not finish being launched in Spain. Although the manufacturer continues to work on new folding models. It seems that the one that will be the successor of this model is underway and the patent that shows its design has been leaked, which reminds us of another model.

This new folding phone from Huawei is remarkably reminiscent of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 2, unveiled earlier this month. In fact, it folds like a book, in the same way that Samsung’s device does and its secondary screen is large.

The fingerprint sensor will be located on one of the sides, next to the volume buttons. An aspect that is interesting in this model is that the thickness is variable, it is not as thick on its entire surface. Since we can see that in the area where the cameras are located it is thicker, while on the opposite side it is thinner. So this is something that is also similar to the Samsung Folds.

Huawei will incorporate a USB-C at the bottom on the device, next to its main speaker. A second speaker is expected on top, although this has not been confirmed. Nothing is known about the materials in which this model will be made, it will surely be a combination of metal and glass.

It is not known when this new folding of the Chinese manufacturer will go on sale, especially considering the tightening of the US veto. It could hit stores in 2021, but we will have to wait for more news from the brand itself about this device.
