How to use the heat map of Google Photos to locate photographs

In recent days we have seen a great change in Google Photos, one of the applications that more popularity has gained in recent years, and with good reason. In addition to the new logo, more simple but also more controversial, and the changes in the interface has included a function that many we have been waiting for quite some time: a map.

With this new feature we can see the exact place that we have made each picture, or the other way around, see what photos we have done in certain places.

How it works the heat map

The way in which Google has decided to implement this function is by using a heat map, that is to say, a series of colors in the form of waves above the map indicate the areas in which we have made more pictures that have not made any.

To access the map that we have to do is click on any photo and when you open then up.

One of the sections of this section is the location, where we are shown the site in which it was taken, as well as a link to open in Google Maps, if we want to go there in navigation mode.

If you click above the map will expand, showing us all the photos that we have taken on that site. Just above the number of pictures there’s a gray line that we can swipe down to see the full screen map.

If you do a pinch to reduce the juice, we will see how new areas of heat that indicate to us that at some point we made photos there.

If we touch on any of the colored areas will open one of the photos that we have taken and at the bottom will be both the number of available images as the preview of all of them. If you slide into this bottom portion of iran showing the locations of the photos on the map.

If you find it more comfortable you can put the mobile in horizontal since the interface will be adapted and the bottom will be on the right and the top on the left, still fully usable.

The entry How to use the heat map of Google Photos to locate photographs appears first in Android Free.
