How to share your Instagram profile with a QR code

There are times when you wishshare your Instagram profile with other people. To make this process more comfortable, the application had a function called Identification cards, which probably sounds like some users in Spain. This new method also allows the other person not to have to open Instagram to add you. Since the popular application allows share our contact or profile with other users using a QR code. A function similar to the one we currently have in WhatsApp to share our phone number easily.

Share your Instagram profile

This is a method we can use when we are in the same place as someone else and we want to share our profile on Instagram, without having to spell the name. So by using these QR codes to share, we make the process simpler. The other person will only have to scan said code from their mobile and thus will be able to access the profile and then start following us directly. The steps to do that are:

1. Open Instagram on your phone.
2. Click on your profile picture to access your profile.
3. Click on the three horizontal stripes in the upper right to open the side menu.
4. Select the QR Code option.
5. The QR code is displayed on your mobile screen.

On this screen where the social network shows the QR code on the screen You also have three options: Emoticons, Selfie, or Color. These options allow you to change the wallpaper, with any of those options, in case you want to customize this screen where you are sharing access to your profile, so that others will start following you on the social network. In the photo above you can see how this screen looks in each option.

In addition, Instagram also allows you scan other people’s QR code from this screen. Under your QR code you will see that you find an option called “Scan QR code”. So if someone else does the same, you can access their profile in this way, making the process fast, avoiding having to enter the app and then search for their profile.
