How to see if a WiFi channel is saturated from your Android mobile

When are we going to connect to a WiFi network with our phone Android, it is common to find a large number of networks around us. This can even cause that there are times that our device does not connect to said network. A common problem is that our network shares a channel with other networks, which makes its speed lower or its signal unstable.

This is a problem that most have experienced, as many times WiFi networks share the same channels, causing these malfunctions. Because, we can change the channel to have a stable connection at all times. Although for this we must check which channels are free and which are busy.

Check which WiFi channel is busy on Android

Most WiFi routers broadcast in the 2.4 GHz band, although more and more are also operating in the 5 GHz band. While the first is divided into 13 overlapping channels, the second is divided into 25 overlapping channels and offers a higher speed. Therefore, knowing which channel is saturated allows us to choose which one to use, to enjoy a good connection that is fast and stable.

To know which channels are saturatedWe have different methods, something we normally do on our computer. Although it is something that we can also do from our Android phone, for which we will need an application. In the Play Store there are many applications that allow us to do this, such as with WiFi Analyzer.

This is how WiFi Analyzer works

By installing WiFi Analyzer on your Android phone, you will be able to see which channels the rest of the routers broadcast that are close to you, like those of your neighbors, for example. This allows you to have information about the channels that are saturated and thus you will be able to choose the one that is less saturated in your case. The application will also show you data about your own connection, so that you can see the channel that you are using.

The application use a star rating system those connections. So you can easily know which one should be used in your case, so you will choose the least saturated channel and that will offer you a stable and fast connection. The application has an easy-to-use and easy-to-read interface, even if it is in English, so you will not have problems when using it.

WiFi Analyzer can be downloaded for free on the Play Store. Inside the application there are ads, although they are not annoying when using the application:
