How to recover deleted messages from your iPhone?

If you ever accidentally delete a message received on your iPhone, don’t panic, luckily you will be able to recover it very easily.

In order not to spoil anything, know that Apple has thought of offering several ways to find your SMS, MMS and iMessages files.

The utility of iTunes backups

If SMS is used less and less, and if Snapchat, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and others are increasingly asserted as credible alternatives, the truth is that the traditional message solution remains and always the most common. And therefore, the most used, in addition to sending a simple text message such as a photo, a short video, etc.

Obviously, errors can occur, and it is not excluded to inadvertently delete an SMS, an all-important SMS, while doing so. If this ever happens to you, you should be aware that the process of recovering an SMS from an iPhone is relatively easy. The first proposed solution will be to go through the iTunes software. If you’ve set up automatic iTunes backups for your iPhone as soon as it’s connected to Wi-Fi and plugged into a power outlet, chances are a restoration of your most recent backup can help. message deleted.

To perform a backup restore, follow the steps. As paradoxical as it may seem, you will have to start by making a backup copy of your smartphone. Connect your

iOS device to your computer, then launch iTunes. In the application, go to File> Devices> Backup. Once the backup has been confirmed (go to Devices> iTunes Preferences to verify that the backup you just made appears indeed), you will be able to restore your iPhone to find your SMS. In iTunes, go to File> Devices> Restore from backup and select the penultimate backup.

Note that you can also go to the dedicated tab for your iPhone in iTunes, then click Summary> Restore Backup.

When all seems lost, third-party software is there

If this first solution ever doesn’t work, you will probably have to rely on third-party software. This could be the solution specifically developed by Apowersoft publisher or imobie’s PhoneRescue software. The latter will be able to independently search your iTunes backups to find complete messages, voice files, calendars, etc.

Complete, but not free, as you will have to pay a certain amount to obtain a valid license. Apowersoft Smartphone Manager software will also choose a paid format, although an evaluation version will be offered. In the case of the latter, you must pay the sum of 39.95 euros.

Knowing that the two solutions are roughly equivalent, it is more a matter of personal choice than anything else.
