How to program an Android phone to turn on and off at a certain time

If you don’t need that the mobile phone is turned on all day, why have it on? Some layers of personalization Android even allow you to schedule a time at which the mobile is turned on and off automatically, without the need of your intervention.

It must be emphasized that it is not an option native, but that is one of those additions that manufacturers add in their layers. Mobile Huawei to EMUI

The mobile Huawei include the possibility of programming the switching on and off of the system since several versions of EMUI. To configure it, you must go to the settings > Accessibility features > Scheduled power on / Off.

Activates the main switch, and then you can choose at what time you want to turn on the mobile and at what time you want it to turn off. You can customize what days of the week you want to repeat the schedule (days of daily, everyday, or custom).

Mobile Xiaomi with MIUI

The mobile Xiaomi with MIUI have a similar option. On this occasion you’ll have to go to settings Performance and battery and touch Schedule power on/off. In this case you can choose separately whether you want to turn the power on and off auto, as well as at what time, and if you want to repeat.

Mobile OPPO / Realme with Color OS

Mobile phones with ColorOS, the way to program the phone to turn on and off at a certain time means that you open the Settings and enter in Additional configuration. Tap then on Auto on/off and activates the switch corresponding to choose what time you want to turn on and off the mobile.

Mobile Samsung

Mobile Samsung do not include for the moment the option to turn it on or off at a certain time, but what you can do, is to schedule that restart. In this case the option is presented more as a way to “refresh” the performance of the mobile.

As a performance option, is located within Maintenance of the devicein the advanced options. Active then Automatic restart and you’ll be able to choose what time you want that to happen (although it will only be fulfilled if the screen is off, the phone is not in use, the battery is more than 30% and the SIM is not protected by a PIN).

Other mobile phones (with root)

If your mobile phone does not bring the option from the factory, there is no way that you program it to turn on at a certain time. What you can do with applications is program it to turn off at a certain timealthough you will need the phone to have root access.

There are several applications in Google Play that allow you to do so, as AutoOff, with which you can program it to turn off the spend certain time or at a specific time. In all cases, the applications require root access as it is logical to be able to turn off the mobile it is not something that should be accessible to any application.
