One of the features of Android that makes it especially attractive to users is that add different Google accounts on the same device. In this way, with a single terminal, we can control our personal profile, work, test accounts and more. There is no doubt that knowing how to add these extra accounts is very useful, but to just do that would be an understatement. It also does not hurt to know how all these accounts can be managed, so we are going to try to do a review as detailed as possible to see how you can work with these different profiles after configuring them on your Android.

How to add multiple Google accounts

The first is the first. First of all, let’s see how to set up a new Google account. First of all, let’s go the route Settings> Accounts. Within this menu click on Add Account:

On the next screen, click on Google:

If we have an extra security method configured (for example, a PIN code), the system will ask us for it next. When we have entered it, we will arrive at the screen in which to configure our account by entering our user data.

When we have done it, we will see that it is perfectly configured in our account screen:

How to use multiple Google accounts

You can access your secondary account from Google’s own applications. Almost all allow you to switch between accounts by clicking on your profile picture. Let’s say Gmail. Tap on your profile picture (upper right corner of the screen):

There you will see the active account at that moment in the first place, while the rest of the accounts are below. Click on any of the ones you have under your main account to start using them:

When using multiple Google accounts you have to take into consideration what data do we want to be synchronized, and which ones are not. To find the synchronization settings we will have to go to the route Settings> Accounts (May vary based on customization layer or ROM). There we click on the account whose data we are going to manage. On the account information page, click on Synchronization. And there we will put or remove as many sections as we want to synchronize in our terminal. The sections in question are the following:

  • Google Calendar
  • Google Chrome
  • Google drive
  • Gmail
  • Google fit
  • Google Play Music
  • Google Play Movies
  • Google Calendar
  • Google Play Games
  • Google Keep
  • Google Play Newsstand

Depending on the services you have installed on your terminal, the number of synchronization options may be greater or less than the one we propose in this list. As you can see, it is very easy to add different Google accounts and manage them from your terminal, if you know how.
