Knowing the Android version is a very simple task. Actually, this and other data are accessible from the device’s own settings application. Depending on the customization layer that the manufacturer includes, this process may vary. In our case, we have used a Xiaomi Mi A2 with LineageOS 17.
If you just want to know what version you have installed on your terminal, open the device settings. So, head over to the section About phone.
You don’t need to do anything else to find the data you are looking for. In the section itself About phone which version of Android is being used is displayed.
However, if you click on Android version you will access an advanced data list. One of the most important is Android security patch level. Although this is not an indicator of the current Android version, it does reveal the extent to which the device is protected. Remember that the Android security patch is released every month.
If you repeatedly click on the Android version in this section, you will access the Easter egg.
Other information of interest that is included in the Android settings is the compilation number and date, the kernel version or the system updates of Google services.
It is true that for a quick consultation of the system version, going to the settings application is more than enough. However, if you want to have some added functions, opt for Device Info.

After downloading and installing it, open it and go to the tab System.
There you will see practically the same information as in the section About phone settings. However, with this application you can export all this data and share it. You just have to click on the three-point menu and select Export.
In addition, Device Info allows you to check the network, hardware, and other components of the device. All the available options are in the different tabs that you will see next to System.
