Arguing and getting angry with someone close is very common. Unfortunately, when this happens, it has become common for someone to send a message with insults, either in messaging applications such as WhatsApp or by SMS, something that many in Spain have surely experienced on occasion. In Huawei’s EMUI there is a way to filter these kinds of messages.
Receiving a message with an insult is never a dish of good taste, it does not feel good to read it. In Huawei there is a integrated system that allows filtering of SMS messages that we receive based on its content. Thus avoid receiving messages with insults, for example. Its configuration is simple.

Filter offensive messages on Huawei
At Huawei we have a function designed to filter or block calls and messages. One of the tools that we find in this function is that of filter messages based on content, so if certain words are used, we can prevent the message from reaching us, a notification will not be displayed, and it will go directly to the trash can. It is a way to filter certain content in a simple way. The steps we have to follow are:
- Open the Optimizer app.
- Enter the Filter section.
- Click on the cogwheel icon, located at the top right.
- Enter the Blacklist of keywords section.
- Click Add.
- Enter the word you want to block / filter.
- Repeat the process with those words that you want to be filtered.
- Once all of them have been entered, you can exit this section.
By having a series of established words, which you do not want to see, the SMS messages that you receive on your Huawei mobile that contain any of these words, they are going to filter. Those messages will be sent directly to the trash in the app, so they will never show up in the inbox.
If you add new words in said list, the messages that contain any of them will also be filtered. You can modify this list whenever you want on your phone, in order to have a more precise filter based on your personal situation. If at a certain moment you want to remove these filters, it is also possible.
