For years now, mobile phones have not been simple devices to carry in your pocket, with which to make calls and receive messages. In fact, many no longer even think about the function of making calls. Since what could be considered the first great revolution of the device occurred, manufacturers have been determined to turn mobile phones into small pocket computers, sometimes with characteristics almost comparable to those that could be found in any desktop computer or portable. This is not something new, we have discussed it on other occasions. However, one task for which the phone fell short until recently was to convert JPG photos to PDF files. Luckily that has changed, and now you can do it quietly from your Android. Let’s see how.

Convert photos through a web

As in many other cases in which we talk about file conversion, it is true that sometimes services can be found on-line that will allow us to transform a file from an X format into another from a Y format, as long as its compatibility layers allow it.

In this case, we are going to see how we can convert a JPG file into PDF using only a web service. There are many available, but in this case we are going to recommend IlovePDF.

First, open your browser and go to the IlovePDF website. Once there, search JPG to PDF and click there:

Click now on Select JPG images to search your phone for the images to convert:

Then click on Convert to PDF to transfer the file:

When the process finishes, the web will automatically download it to your terminal (in the folder downloads or the one you have assigned).

Applications to convert JPG to PDF

We are going to give you two more options to convert JPG images to PDF, this time third-party applications that allow us to carry out the process with minimal intervention on our part. We see them below.

This application more than fulfills what it promises and is one of the most preferred by users, but surely the immense amount of advertising included in its free version makes it lose some of its appeal.

Using it is very easy. When opening the app, we select Image to PDF:

A gallery of thumbnails of the images that we have in our terminal will open. We select the one we want to convert to PDF and then click on to import:

On the next screen, click on Convert to PDF:

In the dialog box that will appear, click on Turn into and we let the app do your work:

Microsoft Office, the Swiss Army Knife of documents

If the Microsoft office suite has done something for all of us who usually work with many documents “on the fly”, it has been to make our lives easier when it comes to moving them between platforms and offer us multiple conversion capabilities. It is, so to speak, a Swiss army knife for this type of task.

In the present case, Office is once again useful. To convert JPG to PDF using this app, just open it and click on the cross button:

In the options that will appear, click on Lens:

The terminal’s camera will open, but we will also be shown a series of thumbnails of the images that have already been stored on the phone. To see the gallery, we will slide our finger up from the thumbnails:

Open Office LensOpen Office Lens

The gallery will open. We select the image we want to convert and click on the button Next, in the lower right corner of the screen:

A thumbnail of the image will now appear and, at the bottom of the screen, a button called Create PDF. We will click on it:

Button to create a PDF with the imageButton to create a PDF with the image

The image will open. We will click on the button of the three vertical buttons and on Save as in the menu that will appear:

Button to save the PDFButton to save the PDF

We change the name of the document if we see it necessary, we choose the folder in which it will be saved and click on Keep:

Ready, we will have our image converted to PDF saved on our device.

Convert images from Android gallery

Using the phone’s own gallery is also an easy option to consider. Certain Android customization layers allow us to open the photo we want to convert in the phone gallery and, through the menu, save a copy as a PDF file. Unfortunately, we insist, this method does not apply to all Android terminals (in none of my terminals I have found this option) that you can find on the market.
