This makes group conferences much more dynamic, since now it is not necessary to hang up and end the call to rejoin all the members, just because that person has not had time to arrive on time. Therefore, this simple process will allow us to add whoever we want in the middle of a call.
How to add a person on Google Meet during a call
Unfortunately, we have to say that the functionality is only available in group calls and not in individual calls, that is, where only two people participate. To access this function, we simply touch on the button with three dots at the bottom right of the screen during a group video or audio chat. Later we choose “Add” and then we select the different participants or contacts that we want to involve in said call.
Then an invitation to join will come to those contacts. The truth is that it is somewhat annoying that we cannot do this from individual calls, since we cannot be in a position to add an aunt, an uncle or a brother to my chat with mom, without hanging up and starting another call. The feature is available in the latest version of Google Meet, which is now available on the Play Store after its latest update.
Google Duo also allows us to share screen
In addition to adding people during a call, Google Duo allows yet another function that it adds to your repertoire. And is that as explained above, it is an option that we can also carry out during a call while it is in progress. This is the function «Share screen”, which returns to Google Duo after an interval of absence from the app.
As we already know from other platforms, this option will allow us to show the rest of the members of the call our screen. In other words, we will be able to share everything we do in the terminal and where we navigate, while the participants of the call see what we do. This, of course, only works in a video call.
To do this, we must have the video call started to press the icon of the three buttons vertically. We will have several options that will appear, such as “Family”, “Portrait” and finally “Share Screen”. After choosing the latter, we are shown an information window indicating that the application is going to share the content of the screen, in which we must press «Start now». To finish, we must end the call or click on the “Stop sharing” option.
