Microsoft has added new features for its Edge browser. Improvements that for now are available to those users who are testing Edge Canary o Edge Dev on versions 94.0.987.0 and later. Improvements that affect the scroll bar, which now better integrates into Windows 11 aesthetics.
Microsoft has introduced a new scroll bar design that it has come to call “overlay scroll bars.” An improvement that is disabled by default and that you can activate with the well-known “flags” menu following the steps below.
A more current appearance
To activate the new scroll bar you must enter Edge Canary after installing the latest version available and access the “flags” menu by typing in the browser bar edge: // flags.
You can find the option you have to activate by typing typing the command that we show you now in the browser bar.

Once the option is located “Windows Style Overlay scrollbars”, you must check the box “enabled” and restart the browser by clicking on the button in the lower right area of the screen.
Restarting the browser will implement the new function, with a scroll bar that now looks more modern and functional.

Remember that all these news will make the leap to Edge in the stable version and that even if you use the latter, you can use Edge without problem in any of the three development channels in order to test the improvements and news that Microsoft is releasing.
