Gboard, the keyboard Googlehas a great function to which it is usual not to take too much advantage: the clipboard. It is a function that we have to activate manually and, on a keyboard, is not too common to find small icons that will activate particular functions, so that it is easy to pass unnoticed.
We will tell you how to enable the clipboard on the keyboard of Google and for what it is, because it is a very useful option which can save us time on more than one occasion, especially if we send some messages recurring.
The clipboard Gboard, a wonder of something unknown
The clipboard Gboard, keyboard, Google, stores what you have copied in the last hourexcept in the specific cases that we are going to detallarte later. The main “problem” is that we have to activate it manually, which tends to be a great unknown. Activate it is very simple.
- Opens up the keyboard to Google in any application
- Click on the folder icon
- Activates the clipboard
Once you can activate the clipboard, any text or link that you copy in the clipboard will be stored in Gboard duratante an hour. How do we allow this? That we can have access to that information and copy it inside your applications quickly. Is best understood with an example. Imagine that every day you have to send an email, message, WhatsApp or others with a home-style, “Good morning, I hope everything is well, I am writing to…” We can set this text inside of Gboard for that, just pressed, copy the text directly within the app (Gmail, WhatsApp, etc)
This is precisely the option that you were talking about, that allows us to the texts are saved for more than an hour. These texts set are not erased and are designed to copy text on a recurring basis without having to write it all from scratch.
If you click on the button on the right, with the shape of a pencil, we can arrange the clipboard, at the fullmoving each of the items individually, removing them, adding new elements and others. As you can see it is a quite powerful tool built into the keyboard of Google and that, if we get used to using it, we can save a lot of time.
