Millions of users in Spain use two-step verification to access their accounts, usually receiving an SMS with a code to complete that login. If you use this method in several of your accounts or applications, your inbox in apps like Google Messages ends up filling with messages with these codes.
These codes are important for a very short period of time, you are going to use it once to enter your account, for a maximum of five minutes. After this time, they are useless, they just end up taking up space in your inbox. It seems that Google has also realized this and takes action on it.
What is 2-Step Verification: Why You Should Use It and Apps That Include ItWhat is two-step verification, what advantages does its use offer us and how is it activated in applications such as Facebook or WhatsApp on Android.
It is in version 6.7 of Google Messages, in its APK, where this new function has been discovered in the application. As we mentioned, if you use 2-Step Verification in many of your accounts and apps, a huge amount of messages end up accumulating with verification codes in the inbox. Some messages that are not useful once you have logged in.
Faced with this situation, currently we can only select those messages and delete them manually. Luckily, Google works in an automated mode that will detect these messages with one-time passwords and They will delete them after 24 hours. Thus, the user will not have to do anything, since the application will automatically delete them directly. Thanks to this, the user saves the necessary time and effort.
This is going to be an optional feature, which users can activate in the Messages settings. In this way, if you have chosen to use it, the application will detect those messages with one-time passwords and then proceed to delete them after 24 hours.
The function has already been seen in the application, although it is not active yet. For this reason, it is expected that Google will launch it soon in its messages application, although they have not said anything about when it will be made available to all users of it.
The entry Google will remove the most useless SMS from your inbox automatically appears first in The Free Android.
