Google Stadia is practically ready for Android TV 1

Streaming is a technology that has changed practically all of our habits to consume content, both in Spain and in the rest of the world. Although the consumption of videos and music is already more than common, videogames is the next area to be conquered by technology, being a much more complex step, but one that advances inexorably.

The arrival of this technology has great potential for smartphones and laptops, but it also makes a lot of sense that it ends up reaching Smart TVs. Yes, the normal thing is that the television is already the place where you have the console. But what if you don’t have a console? Or if you have one but want to play exclusive titles from other platforms? Under these premises, it is to be expected that services like Stadia end up reaching television.

Google Stadia, ready to arrive on Android TV

Google Stadia is practically ready for Android TV 2Although it is not officially available either, playing Xbox Game Pass games is already possible on Android TV.

Google Stadia is far from going at a rate that we consider worthy. The new generation of consoles is approaching, and even though Google’s streaming gaming platform is quite accessible, it is in a race against time. Not only against the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X, but in the streaming race itself, where Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has taken the lead.

The Google Stadia application has been updating recently, and although it does not yet include support for official Android TV, it is already possible to configure the application completely without using accessories such as a Bluetooth mouse, in addition to supporting 4K displays.

That Google has prepared Stadia for Android TV is something that makes more sense than it seems. Google has already officially confirmed that this afternoon they will present the new generation of Chromecast. Unless there is a surprise, if we pay attention to the leaks, this device would include Google TV, an operating system that would take Android TV as its base with a new interface that will surely end up replacing Android like Wear OS did with Android Wear.

Since currently the only official way to play Stadia on television is through the Chromecast Ultra, when replacing this model it is essential that Stadia is available from launch day.
