Google releases Android 12 Developer Preview 1.1 to fix bugs

Last month Google introduced Android 12 to developers. We have already been able to test this first version, which is not a beta, and the second version is expected to be released in March.

But meanwhile, Google has wanted to correct some minor bugs, without including new functions, for which it has released the version Android 12 Developer Preview 1.1.

Fixing bugs in Android 12 Developer Preview 1.1

The new version, build number SPP1.210122.022, has the following bug fixes.

  • On some devices, the device intermittently disconnected from Wi-Fi even when the Wi-Fi signal was strong.
  • Some mobiles displayed a “System UI keeps stopping” message if the user tried to take a screenshot by pressing Power + Volume Down from the lock screen.
  • Partial activation locks that could cause excessive battery drain.
  • A device’s fingerprint reader could stop responding when the device was asleep, requiring the user to unlock their device with another method.
  • The Settings app might crash if the user tried to access the app’s notification settings.
  • The system user interface could freeze after the user updated the device.
  • The CellBroadcastReceiver application was unable to get the permission android.permission.BROADCAST_CLOSE_SYSTEM_DIALOGS, causing emergency alerts to fail.
  • Some devices were rebooting intermittently.
  • Some devices will reboot after the user unlocked the device with their PIN.

In addition to correcting all these problems, it has been used to update to March security patch, which has just been released.

In a few days the second Android 12 Developer Preview should be made official. When that happens we will tell you all the details.
