Google has a dilemma when it comes to improving Android. On the one hand, it must include new functions and features in the public version, so that users and manufacturers want to update their mobiles. On the other hand, you have to leave some exclusive functions for your Pixels in order to differentiate them.
One of the apps he’s used for the latter is the instant transcription recording app that launched on the Pixels. You are now about to update it with a new feature.
Web interface for the audio recorder
The company has renewed the web interface of the page Recorder.google.com to provide a comfortable way to manage our recordings from the computer, when we are not with the mobile.
For now this function will be exclusive to the Pixel, although we don’t know what will happen when we install the APK on another mobile and use the recorder, which we know can be done.
The point is that the latest APK of the application does not yet allow integration with this, even if we make the backup copies of our Pixel.
A simple interface
Although it is not yet operational we can see that the interface will be quite simple. We will have on the left the list of recordings and in the central part the player. There we can pause or play the recordings, advance 10 seconds or go back 5.
On the right side we have the volume control and in the upper right corner the avatar of our account since to access the recordings we will have to be connected.
What the web interface will not allow is to record new audios since it has been designed to manage our recordings and share them more comfortably from a computer.
We do not know if this feature will be released in the beta versions of Android 12 or if it will officially arrive in a few weeks on the Pixels, regardless of the system updates.
The entry Google prepares a web interface for the Pixel Recorder app appears first in The Free Android.
