Within a few days, Google Photos will cease to be free both in Spain and in the rest of the world. This will be a major change for many users, who are even planning to move to another cloud storage system.
However, the engineers of this application do not stop improving it to give users more reasons to stay in it, even if it is paying.
The last two functions that have been added are tools for editing our images, to increase the quality.
On the one hand we have the function Improve sharpness, which allows you to increase the detail of an image by highlighting the edges and making the photos appear more profiled. Of course, if we go too far, we can incur a problem that some mobile camera applications have, called oversharpening, and that is that they enhance the edges too much.
The other feature is called Reduce noise and it does almost the opposite. Try to fill in areas with artifacts or grain, looking for uniform tones that increase the feeling that the image has no lack of resolution.
The two features are within the image editing menu and are highlighted with an orange icon to let the user know that they are new. These are not paid features, and anyone can use them even if they have the free version of Google Photos starting July 1.
The entry Google Photos releases new tools to improve the quality of photos appears first in The Free Android.
