Google Photos has left us with a multitude of new features this year, already available in Spain, such as the new sharing menu. At the beginning of this year it was announced that the application was going to modify your photo editor. The first tests with this new editor began last month and the deployment of it already begins among users on Android.
The new editor in Google Photos gets smarter and releases design, making it easier for users to edit their images in the application itself. The idea is that we can retouch photos in a better way, but also faster on our phone.

The editor has a new design, with a new vertical navigation menu, in which we have access to the different functions that are available in it. In addition, Google Photos introduces a suggestions section, which is one of its main novelties. By using machine learning, the app lets us will show smart suggestions with settings that we can apply in that image, by means of a single press. This function will also improve as the months go by.
They are also introduced new granular controls in this app editor, they are easier to use. This will allow us to quickly scroll through all the options, simply by sliding our finger. Thus we will find the option that we want to use to apply in the photo.
Google Photos also introduces a new feature for the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G, introduced yesterday. It’s about Portrait Light, which is a setting that is based on machine learning to be able to change the lighting in portraits. Thanks to this function it will be possible to change the position of the brightness and light in these images. For now it seems that it is an exclusive function for these models, it is not known if it will be launched for other Google Pixels or for more models on Android.
This new in-app editor it has already started its deployment among all users on Android. It may not come out yet, but it is expected to be something that will happen over the next few days for everyone.
