Google Contacts now lets you change your profile picture: here’s how

Most Android users have a profile picture on their Google account. This photo is used in the apps where we have that account, such as Gmail, Google Meet or the Google Contacts application. Until now, to change the photo you had to go to the account settings, but from today it is much easier to do this.

The application of Google Contacts now lets us change our profile picture associated with that Google account. The process becomes much simpler and faster, being able to change that profile photo in a couple of simple steps directly in the application on Android.

Change your profile picture in the Google Contacts app

Many of the Google applications have the option to change accounts, so that we can select the account that we want to use more quickly. The Google Contacts application enters by first time the ability to change the profile picture, so that we upload or take a photo that we like more in our Google account at that moment. This is already possible in the new version of the app, following these steps:

1. Open Google Contacts on your phone.
2. Tap on your profile picture at the top right of the screen.
3. In the box that opens, click on your profile photo, which now has a small camera icon at the bottom.
4. A window opens to change the photo.
5. Click on the Change button.
6. Choose where you want to upload the photo (Google Photos, Gallery or take a photo).
7. Select the photo to upload.
8. Adjust the photo (position, crop …).
9. Click OK.

With these steps you have already changed your profile picture in your Google account. After a few minutes you will see that both in Google Contacts and in other applications (Gmail, Photos, Meet …) the new profile photo you have selected will be displayed. Also if you access these services from your computer you can see it there.
