Smart watches are increasingly offering more and better alternatives in Spain. There are models specialized in health and sports, others more in offering cutting edge technology, low prices and all kinds of intermediate mixes.
Fitbit is one of the classics and pioneers in the world of health. This company was bought by Google, and although its present and future are uncertain, it seems that we have first data on the integration of Google within the Fitbit, with a Google Assistant that works really well.
The Fitbit Versa are one of the most balanced watches in terms of health and smart functions. Without having an ecosystem of applications such as Apple Watch, Tizen or Wear OS, beyond health it offers its own mobile payment system and an application store that is gradually becoming more complete.
New Fitbit Sense, Versa 3 and Inspire 2: now with Google AssistantThe Fitbit Sense and Versa 3 are Fitbit’s new health-focused smartwatches. These watches now have Google Assistant and more improvements.
The biggest addition with the third generation was the arrival of Google Assistant as a new virtual assistant option, adding to Alexa, which was available from the Fitbit Versa 2. However, Google Assistant did not come standard with these new devices, but rather would be more available in an update.
The guys from 9to5 Google have already been able to test the Google assistant on the Fitbit Versa 3 and the results are satisfactory. After receiving its update, Google Assistant appears as an application that opens with great speed, also highlighting the agility by which voice commands are executed.
Since the arrival of Google Assistant, the clocks of the Google ecosystem have left much to be desired, having missed the old Google Now on many occasions. The most basic watches suffer inconsistent behavior, requiring 1 GB of RAM and we have only been able to have a satisfactory experience with the newly introduced Ticwatch Pro 3.
How Google Assistant will work in the Versa 3 and Sense will be something that we will know in the next few days, but for now it is really interesting.
The Google Assistant entry in the new Fitbit works better than in Wear OS, it appears first in The Free Android.
