Google adds new 3D animals: wombats, koalas, kangaroos and kookaburras in augmented reality

The 3D animals of the Google search engine have been one of the sensations of the last months and their number and variety continue to increase. In August we attended, for example, the arrival of prehistoric animals and Halloween was the perfect excuse for new additions, like magic cats and pirate dogs, among other things.

Google expands the repertoire of 3D animals with augmented reality of its search engine (and that require compatibility with ARCore) welcoming the Australian ecosystem. The continent furthest from ours (damn Europeans) now contributes animals such as the duck-billed monotremes or our beloved platypuses.

Eight Australian species direct to our mobile

This is how Google narrates that different animals from the Australian continent’s ecosystem are incorporated into their animals in 3D, which are represented with augmented reality from our mobile phone if we use a simple Google search. Google communicates that there will be eight species that are thus added to your search engine.

• Kangaroo
• Quokka
• Wombat
• Platypus
• Emu
• Kookaburra
• Echidna

We will only have to search for them in our mobile browser, regardless of whether it is Android or iOS, or through the Google app and press the “button.View in 3D “ to obtain a three-dimensional representation of them to take to our table, our garden or the bedside table in our bedroom.
