One of the most recent is the GCam, Google’s camera, which debuted its version for these models this summer. Now it is the turn of Gmail Go, the light version of the mail application finally makes its entry in the Play Store.

Gmail Go comes to Android

Gmail Go

This was one of the few applications that they didn’t have their Go version yet, but it finally makes its entry into the Play Store. Google touts this version as “the Gmail you love, now lighter and just as fast.” In Gmail Go we have the most important functions of the normal app, although some of them have been removed, to allow the application to be lightweight.

The interface is identical to the normal version of the application, perhaps something flatter and simpler. Also, in this case it does not have the bottom bar, because in this version there is no integration with Google Meet, which in the normal version arrived a couple of months ago. It is not something that for many is important, since this version focuses on being able to send and receive emails on phones with Android Go.

As in the normal version, we meet dark mode, which we will be able to activate from the application settings. It also integrates with the system’s dark mode, so if you have dark mode activated on your mobile, the application will also adopt this mode.
