Garmin creates a new sports watch with functions for esports

Esports are one of the new fads in the video game industry, with titles that bypass the classic story modes and focus on competition. Garmin, a long-time sports watch maker, doesn’t want to miss out on this new wave. For this, they have taken the Garmin Instinct, one of the best watches of the company in its mid-range and have created a new version. This watch, which already had standard, tactical, camouflage and surf versions (with solar versions) now has a new member, the esports edition.

What is so special about this watch? In addition to having a specific profile for esports in which it analyzes your activity, it has a function called STR3AMUP! which is capable of displaying our heart rate and stress levels during broadcasts.

It may seem silly, but this type of content can offer some added value in the broadcast. A few days ago, while testing the Huawei Watch Fit, on a Sunday afternoon we spent playing Among Us, I was surprised to myself and it seemed quite amusing to see how my rhythm and stress graphs grew when it was my turn to be the impostor, so I have no doubt that broadcasting horror games or seeing in real time how nervous a player is can be quite fun.

Otherwise, it includes all the tracking and sport features that the standard version of the Instinct already enjoyed. Perhaps the only big mistake of this watch is being in one of the ranges that do not include Garmin Pay.
