Windows 11 is already a reality and can be installed on compatible equipment, both through Windows Update and manually. A revision of the operating system with a renewed interface that nevertheless is giving some problems when installing it.

Installation failures that are affecting a small subset of users, who are facing an error message when they use the “Windows 11 Installation Wizard”. A warning that does not give more information about where the fault that causes it is located.

Some users have complained on Reddit that when trying to install Windows 11 with the “Windows 11 Installation Wizard” tool they are running into a generic error message. This is the error “0x8007007f” and the striking thing is that it does not offer more information to check where the fault lies.

As they point out from Windows Latest, the conflict seems to be related to Windows 10 UAC permission for installer, storage space, and drivers. In fact, similar complaints appear even on Twitter.

Also, other users have experienced another error message, this time with the number “Ox8COF0830 – ox2W03” and the text “The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during INSTALL_UPDATES operation”. A bug that seems to be related to some installed drivers and for which there is currently no suitable alternative solution.
