EMUI 11 reaches Huawei phones in Spain: models and dates

In September EMUI 11 was officially presented, the new version of Huawei’s customization layer. Since its introduction, a series of phones from the manufacturer have been updating to this new version, although it had not yet reached Spain. Luckily, that moment has arrived, because the brand’s phones that will have access to this update in our country have been announced.

A total of 14 phones of the brand they will be the first to have access to this new version of its interface. In addition, the manufacturer has already confirmed the dates on which they will make this update available to users.

Huawei confirms that phones with EMUI 11 as an interface will be able to access the Harmony OS update in the future.

These Huawei phones will have EMUI 11 in Spain

The update will be carried out in two phases, as confirmed by the brand. Some phones will have access to EMUI 11 in December of this year, while the rest will have to wait until the first quarter of next year (between January and March 2021), to be able to obtain the new version of its interface. These are the phones that will be updated and the dates on which they will have access to it:

• December 2020.
  • Huawei P40.
  • Huawei P40 Pro.
  • Huawei P40 Pro +.
  • Huawei Mate 30 Pro.
• First quarter of 2021.
  • Huawei P30, P30 Pro and P30 Pro New Edition.
  • Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro and Porsche Design Huawei Mate20 RS.
  • Huawei Mate 20 X and Mate 20 X 5G.
  • Huawei Nova 5T.
  • Huawei Mate Xs.

The update will be powered by Huawei Over-the-Air (HOTA), so that users don’t have to do anything. When the update to EMUI 11 is ready for your device, a notification will be issued informing about it. Then you can proceed to the installation of this new version of the interface of the Chinese brand.

Thanks to this update, Huawei phones get a series of new functions, such as the customization of Always on Display, a new permission management, the control of apps from the computer or improvements in your gallery, among others.
