Like so many other companies, today Twitter has been publishing business figures and advancing what will come in this 2021, new strategies and new approaches. One of the most powerful is the Super Follow, which will allow users to earn money.
A Patreon, but on Twitter
One of the forms of monetization that has been growing the most in recent years is crowdfunding, contributing a small amount to a creator, as a subscription, to obtain benefits or simply show your support.
This is exactly what Twitter wants to empower with Super Follow, a new way of following users with which we can support creators with an amount per month.
It will be the creators who decide what content they give open or only to the followers who have subscribed through this option. It’s just what Patreon does with its users.

At the moment it is not known what amounts will be requested, if Twitter will establish them or it will be the tweeters themselves who can ask for what they see fit.
As you can see in the image above, the publications filtered by SuperFollow will only be available to those who are followers through this modality. This applies to both tweets as the Fleets.
In the middle of the wave of creation of paid newsletters, this seems like a new way of trying to directly obtain an economic profit without leaving the platform.
Communities come to Twitter
Another novelty is the translation of the idea of Facebook groups. They will be called Communities and it seems a response from the company to the increasingly widespread tendency to speak certain things not publicly, but in small groups.
Now this will be possible to do without leaving Twitter. And yes, we reminds a lot of how Google+ worked.
At the moment no details have been given about the availability of these new functions or if they will be only in official applications, but the latter is most likely.
The entry Make money on Twitter will be possible: this is how Super Follow appears first in The Free Android.
