Driving mode is coming to Google Assistant soon: first images in operation

Google Assistant has become an essential piece in Google’s strategy, which continues to introduce improvements to its assistant, including its renewal in Spanish. Its new functions also arrive in Spain, as is expected to happen with the driving mode, which was announced last year during Google I / O 2019, but has not yet been launched.

Google Assistant’s driving mode is expected to launch over the summer of last year, but this launch never took place. Nothing has been known about this feature for quite some time, although it seems that Google is preparing to launch it shortly. The first images showing this function have already been filtered.

Google Assistant is preparing several novelties for its application, among which are health data, guest mode and Android Auto shortcuts.

This will be the driving mode of Google Assistant

Thanks to the 9to5Google team, the first images of the interface this driving mode in Google Assistant. This is a function that has been seen in the APK of version 11.31 of the application. In the photos you can see the home screen and the activation screen of this mode.

This mode driving mode it will allow you to use your mobile without distractions. The interface also comes directly in dark mode, independent of the system’s dark mode. You will be able to see that we have a new navigation mode in Maps and below the playback bar you can see a bar that gives access to the assistant and another for the application drawer, where we have functions such as making calls, sending messages, or choose a music app to use while driving.

This new interface could be activated from Google Assistant, but also from Google Maps, when navigation starts. This would be so because the integration between both applications will be total. In fact, you can see that the navigation window looks like the new Google Maps car interface, which was seen a few weeks ago.

At the moment, no dates have been given for it to be introduced, although it has been seen in said APK already, but we will have to wait until it reaches the stable version of the assistant shortly.
