Customize the cover photo in your playlists on Spotify

Spotify is one of the streaming applications most popular music in Spain. It is an application that is frequently updated with new functions, such as searching for songs by lyrics or collaborative playlists. Playlists are getting more and more features, like being able to use a photo of you as a cover, instead of the photo that is automatically generated in the app.

This function was already available in the desktop version of Spotify and for a few weeks it can also be done in its version on Android. Thanks to this option you will customize your playlists by choosing a photo you want to use as a cover. The way to change it is very simple.

Upload your own photos to Spotify playlists

When we create a playlist on Spotify, the app creates a cover photo for it, mixing the covers of the first four songs on that list. The streaming application seeks to give more customization options to users, who can now select the cover photo of this playlist. It can be a photo that you have saved on your phone or you can take a photo at that moment. This way you will have a photo that you consider is better. The steps to do this are:

Open Spotify.
Click on Library.
Go to the playlist whose photo you want to change.
Click on the button of the top three buttons.
Select Edit Playlist.
Click on Change image.
Choose if you want a photo from your gallery or take a photo right now.
In the case of choosing the gallery, look for the photo you want to upload.
Once the photo is chosen, click on use photo.
If you want to do this with other playlists, repeat the process.

This possibility to change the cover photo of the playlists is a good customization option in the app. Also, as each playlist has a different photo, it will be easier to differentiate between them. This also helps to make the use of the application on Android simpler, by always finding the list in the list of playlists that we have.
