Citizen makes the leap to Smart Watches with a first model equipped with Wear OS, the Citizen CZ Smart. Stainless steel for the 46 mm case, classic design, elegant and ready to measure activity and exercise.
Classic watch brands were flooded by smarwatches, a competition that, far from being residual, has been increasing over the years. So the manufacturers have always been enter the realm of smart watches, as just happened with Citizen: the brand has presented its first smartwatch with Wear OS. It is not a bad bet to start, neither by design nor by features.

Citizen does not take excessive risks apart from betting on a market that was still unknown to it. And it is that the Citizen CZ Smart competes in the bulky range of Wear OS betting on the brand, the traditional style, the excellent construction and for a price that, far from models like the Montblanc Summit 2+, maintains a much more accessible cost.
The Citizen CZ Smart offers as a brain the something old Qualcomm Snapdragon 3100, an SoC that should throw more than a day of normal use without problems. Citizen does not detail the battery data, it does hint at a fairly fast charge: 80% of the battery recharges in 40 minutes thanks to its included magnetic charger.
The Citizen CZ Smart’s case is 46mm and is made of stainless steel. It is compatible with 22 mm straps and offers the option to order additional ones with the purchase of the smartwatch. In addition, the Citizen CZ Smart maintains the usual characteristics in a more or less typical Wear OS: 8GB storage, Google Assistant compatibility, built-in microphone and speaker, heart rate reading and activity log, also exercise.
Citizen completes the list of software with several exclusive dials that can be customized. It also has three different versions for the box with different color combinations.
The new smartwatch is already in pre-sale for purchase through the online store of the brand, although at the moment only in the United States. Its cost in that country is $ 395, about 332 euros to change. And it will begin to be distributed from December 14.
