Check your tax data in the Tax Agency app
For some years now, the Tax Agency has had an official application that can be obtained for free both in the App Store and in Google Play because, obviously, it is compatible with both mobile operating systems.
If you choose the Cl @ ve PIN, which is the simplest, you must enter the DNI and its validity date, in addition to the PIN you will receive in the Cl @ ve PIN application or by SMS. If you choose the reference number, you will have to put the alphanumeric code received in an SMS or letter, or obtain said reference after entering the figure that appears in a specific box of the previous year’s return.
Once identified, with your session already started, the first thing the application asks you to do is that you modify or ratify your tax address. When you have corrected or confirmed the information requested, you will see the home screen again. Click on the first option (2020 income) and a new menu will appear with options:
- Processing status: available from April 7.
- Draft / declaration processing: available from April 7.
- Tax data 2020.
- Appointment: available from May 4.
- Declarations of previous years– Includes returns for the last five years (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019).
- Ratification of tax domicile.

As we can see, some options may not be available in the current year, but the one that interests us is the one from the previous year, yes. By clicking on it you can check what information of the year 2020 does the Treasury have about you, including your data and your tax address, income from work and bank accounts, aid received, contributions, etc.
What is the PIN code and what is it for?
The PIN is a electronic personal identification system that allows to confirm before the digital administration who is the citizen who is going to carry out the procedure online with full security guarantee.
This method, which in its beginnings was known as PIN24H, consists of the obtaining a code through the Cl @ ve PIN app or SMS that you must enter to access the system. It is characterized by two fundamental details: you can only use the PIN code received once and it is only valid for 10 minutes. Therefore, every time you want to carry out a public procedure you must request a new PIN code, which makes the authentication process more secure.
It has your own android app, which you can download for free on any of your devices with this operating system. To use the PIN code on Android, it is obviously necessary that you have registered using one of the methods explained above.
Once registered, you must activate the PIN key on the device in which you are going to use it, keep in mind that it can only be one. The steps are the following:
- Download the Cl @ ve PIN app and open it for the first time on your mobile.
- Click on “Next” to skip the initial tutorial.
- Enter your DNI / NIE and its validity date.
- By SMS you will receive an activation code that you must enter in the app. Do not take long to do it, because its validity is only 10 minutes. Once you have entered the code, you will have already activated the use of the Cl @ ve PIN app on your mobile, it will be there where you will receive the PIN to access the system when carrying out a procedure.
From this activation, using the PIN code on your mobile will be a very simple process. When accessing a public procedure, select the option “Cl @ ve PIN” or “PIN24H” and enter your mobile application to obtain the three-digit code that you must enter on the web. Remember that it is about a one-time key, so you will have to get another one if you close the browser or want to start a new procedure.
How to request the draft of the Rent
When accessing for the first time, the system will request the ratification of the tax domicile and In the side menu you will find the following services: user portfolio, main menu, basic tax information, notices, conditions and policies, adjustments and help.
