BlueStacks is an Android emulator for PC that many users in Spain know. In 2018, the fourth version of it was launched, based on Android Nougat. The new version of this popular emulator now officially arrives, three years after the launch of the previous one. Although there is one aspect that remains unchanged.

BlueStacks 5 is this new version of the emulator, which to the surprise (and disappointment) of many, still based on Android Nougat. There are a number of improvements in the new version of it, but the decision to keep Android Nougat 7.1.2 as the version on which it is based has not finished liking.

This is BlueStacks 5

BlueStacks 5 beta

According to the company, BlueStacks 5 provides faster startup, installation and execution time than the previous version. This is so because the app has been rewritten, although it is still based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat, a version of Android that was officially launched in 2016. The application will be officially launched tomorrow, February 16, worldwide.

The operation has not changed compared to previous versions. You download and install the new version of the emulator and then log into your Google account to access the Play Store, where you can download the games and applications you want. Everything you download will be added to the app drawer in the emulator. This new version is especially geared towards gaming, with functions such as custom keyboard or mouse settings already by default, also allowing you to create your own.

BlueStacks 5

BlueStacks 5 presents a somewhat cleaner and better organized design, which allows a positive use of this new version. Performance is still adequate, as in previous versions, so it is an emulator that continues to meet its objectives well. Although being based on Android Nougat, it runs the risk of becoming obsolete soon.

Starting tomorrow, the stable version is launched of this emulator all over the world, although there are countries where it is already possible to download it in beta form, directly on its official website. A new version that complies, but disappoints as it was not the leap that many expected.

The entry BlueStacks 5 arrives loaded with improvements, but still based on Android 7 appears first in The Free Android.
