Scales to measure seismic movements
Until recently, scientists measured earthquakes using the scale of Richter, developed by American seismologists Charles F. Richter and Beno guatenberg in 1093 and 1940.

It is important to know where these apps collect data from to show seismic movements. There are a multitude of sources that record earthquakes or, rather, the behavior of surfaces and tectonic plates. These institutions exist both at the regional, national and international levels.
The most popular in Spain is the National Seismic Network, belonging to the Ministry of the Interior. Another great exponent is the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center, a non-profit scientific organization dedicated to seismological research. Others may be the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, based in Italy, or Geonet, which is a publicly owned company with the consideration of the autonomous body Suma Gestión Tributaria owned by the Alicante Provincial Council.

IGN Seismology PRO
It is the official application of the National Seismic Network, developed by the Ministry of the Interior. Likewise, it allows the reception and visualization of all seismic events in Spain and its surroundings on our Android device. In addition, in case of having felt an earthquake, it gives the possibility of sending a macroseismic form through simple animated icons.
Earthquake Alert
This app, which is only available for Android, has a map with information on all the earthquakes that are occurring around the world, being able to make filters for a specific location, date or magnitude.
If you want to receive notifications of what is happening you will need to also install Earthquake Alerter Free, from the same developer. Both are the best rated on the Play Store by far.
SkyAlert
If you are in a city or one of the countries most recently affected by earthquakes, this application will send you notifications to your mobile thanks to its alert system that is in sync with the earthquake detectors. Through their underwriting system, they are gradually increasing the number of states that are in the most dangerous areas.

It is an app with information on important earthquakes that provides you with all the data you need and includes push notifications, all this at no cost. It also includes a beautifully simple design, optimized for the latest versions of Android. In addition, it has a search engine to find files on other similar events, with dates up to the year 1970.

The application shows the latest earthquakes from around the world in a list and on the map. You can filter the data in various ways, such as by earthquake strength, distance from location, depth. It has a map of earthquakes in real time and with the possibility of selecting the time interval for which you want to see information.
The appendix on the map shows the limits of the tectonic plates on which earthquakes occur, it is possible to evaluate the dangerous or safe countries and regions of the planet. As in other apps, it allows you to configure earthquake alerts on your mobile by selecting the magnitude and distance from your location.
Earthquake
Another app that shows us the seismic movements in real time, which come from all over the world. To give all that amount of information, it has several sources such as EMSC, USGS, INGV, IRIS, CSUSP or GEONET. All data displayed can be shown either in list format or directly on the map. Like the rest of the alternatives, it allows you to configure push notifications to alert about news in earthquakes.

It is an application called a seismograph or seismometer, which measures the force of vibration, tremors, earthquakes, vibrations of the human body or any other object that surrounds it. Our application allows the detection and registration of seismic waves generated by earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, avalanches and other sources of vibrations and shocks.
The accelerometer of the mobile phone is used for vibration detection and measurement analysis. And the graph presents a record of the movement of the ground at a measurement point, just as the movement of the earth or an object is presented as a function of time on the three Cartesian axes.
