It is not the first time we have seen the Android operating system on board a landline phone; in fact, you’ve been branding like Panasonic or Archos offer proposals in this regard. However, the device that the Spanish company CoComm now brings us does have something innovative.
This is the first wireless landline with 4G VoLTE technology and operating system based on Android 8.1. And, although we are facing a desktop terminal, the F480 incorporates a SIM card slot and an integrated battery that allow voice and data to be available from anywhere.
CoComm is a Spanish company specialized in desktop mobile telephony that offers terminals with a built-in SIM card, which provides access to voice and data without depending on fiber facilities. His latest proposal is the F840, a landline without cables that, as we said, has 4G VoLTE technology and operating system based on Android 8.1.
Designed for use in public administrations, hotels and companies, this wireless device works under a totally mobile ecosystem. For this it has a 4.5-inch touch screen, webcam, HD voice, bluetooth 4.1 and WiFi n connectivity. Additionally, it supports VoLTE technology (Voice over LTE) and, thanks to its 4G SIM card slot, it offers voice and data service in places where fiber does not reach.
According to the company, its 4,000 mAh battery offers an autonomy of use of more than 2 days without charging. It also has an FM radio, calendar, stopwatch, calculator, alarm, task list, multimedia recording and conference call for up to six participants, among other functions. It does not lack either a 3.5 mm jack for headphones, another to connect an auxiliary microphone, a microSD slot and a micro USB 2.0 port for data transfer.
