Android update your emojis with each version, sometimes with additional additions. The beta of Android 12 is not an exception and it is that, as had leaked, includes a good amount of changes. No new emojis, but yes 389 design changes to existing emojis.
That is, almost four hundred emojis see their design modified in Android 12 beta 1, although they could still change more before the final version. The changes are abundant, from the syringe that does not contain blood to Mount Fuji without reflection in the water, the return to the face mask emoji of Android 10 or the most appetizing slice of pizza.

Android 12 beta 1 hasn’t added any new emoji. The handshake emoji is coming in 2022 Y proposals for upcoming emojis
are still on the design table, but that doesn’t mean that many of the existing emojis will change their design. In a way, on par with the operating system itself, which has one of the biggest redesigns to date.
The changes are abundant and with some curious cases. For example, the mask emoji was redesigned in Android 11 by changing the mask for a more realistic design and with a sad expression in the eyes. In the Android 12 beta, goes back to Android 10 design, happy with the mask.
Many of the redesigns show emojis with a simpler design and in which the number of elements is reduced. For example, vegetables such as avocado or coconut, which previously showed their two halves, now show one. On the way, Mount Fuji loses its reflection in the lake, the shopping cart becomes metal, the lotion looks less like a bottle of bleach, and the syringe goes from having blood to an undetermined liquid. Maybe a vaccine.
While some of the new emojis become somewhat three-dimensional, others become flat, which doesn’t seem to make much sense. We must remember that it is a beta version and that in previous versions of Android, emoji designs changed in successive betas.
Many of the changes are a bit different, and while it may seem like the change is not worth it, there are many factors that come into play. For example, in the redesign of Android 11, special care was taken that emojis work well with dark mode and apparently, according to Emojigraph, it has also been searched that are consistent with their namesakes on iOS.
As we said, a total of 389 emojis change their design in Android 12 Beta 1, although it is foreseeable that they will continue to change in the following betas. Between now and September or October, when Android 12 is official, there may still be many more changes.
