With Android 12, Google has launched the idea of releasing a fixes package in each Developer Preview to prevent the beta testers need to wait for the next major version. The second Android 12 Developer Preview just received now their second pack of fixes: the DP 2.2.
After Android 12 Developer Preview 2.1 arriving at the end of March to correct the infamous WebView bug, version 2.2 fixes seven miscellaneous mistakes, including some that caused sudden closures in applications, in addition to including the April security patch.

The first Developer Preview had a version 1.1 and the second Developer Preview reaches version 2.2. Google couldn’t wait for Developer Preview 3, which expected sometime this April to send an update that fixes various bugs.
This is a small update, with version SPP2.2120219.018 and whose download takes about 90 Mb. It includes specific fixes for Developer Preview 2, generic patches for the April security bulletin and those who apply specifically to Google Pixels (since the DP is only available for Google mobiles at the moment). The resolved issues are as follows:
Fixes a bug where Android settings were closed when accessing Bluetooth settings
Fixes a bug that caused widgets to be deleted after applying an update
Fixes a bug that prevented Wi-Fi passwords from being saved in some cases
Fixes a bug where the notification panel was activated while typing
Fixes a bug where low quality notifications were sent on Bluetooth calls when the quality was normal
Fixes a bug in Codec 2.0 that caused closures in some applications
Fixes a bug that caused some videos to be wrongly encoded when shared
The update is coming via OTA to all the Pixels that updated to Android 12, so they just have to go to Settings> System> System update to actualize. The next update should arrive sometime this month and, barring surprises, it will be the latest “Developer Preview” version. After Android 12 Developer Preview 3 and its possible patches, the first Android 12 Beta should arrive in May, focused on the public rather than the developers. The final version will arrive from August.
