MIUI 12 presented its global version (the one that is launched on mobile phones in Spain) this spring officially. Since then, many Xiaomi and Redmi phones have been updating to this new version of their interface, as it happened with the Redmi Note 9S, which already has this stable version, with Android 10. Although Android 11 is already very close to this phone, thanks to its first build.
This update has started its rollout in India, where this Redmi Note 9S was launched as Redmi Note 9 Pro. The phone arrived on the market with MIUI 11 with Android 10. A few months ago it already received the stable update to MIUI 12 and now it is the turn of Android 11 for this device.

The Redmi Note 9S begins to update to Android 11 with MIUI 12
The rollout of this update begins in India, where has serial number V12.0.1.0.RJWINXM. The update has a weight of 2.3 GB in total, and is released for the Indian version of the device, named Redmi Note 9 Pro. Users with the international version of this Redmi Note 9 Pro cannot install it, but users with a Redmi Note 9S will be able to proceed with its installation manually, using custom recovery like TWRP.
This is the first build of Android 11 for this phone. This means that there will be numerous bugs and stability issues in the same. Therefore, it is recommended that only the most experienced users proceed with their installation on the phone. Also those for whom this is not your main phone. Before installing it, you have to make a backup copy of the phone, so as not to lose anything.
If the launch of this version goes smoothly, it is expected to launch soon for more users in India with this Redmi Note 9 Pro. The idea of the brand is that in December all users in India with this phone they can already use Android 11 on it.

Thanks to this update, the Redmi Note 9S will get a series of new functions that were made official on Android 11. For now, no dates have been given for the launch of the update for the phone in Europe, although now that the rollout has started in India will most likely not be long in coming.
