Android 11 comes to Realme 7 and Realme X2 Pro as open beta, first in India

Two other terminals have jumped on the Android 11 bandwagon before the end of 2020: the Realme 7 and the Realme X2 Pro. First launched with Android 10 and Realme UI, while the Realme X2 Pro arrived with Android 9 and ColorOS, but later I would take the leap to Realme UI based on Android 10.

Android 11 reaches both terminals as “early access” beta in which anyone can sign up although, at the moment, the beta program is active only in India.

Android 11 and Realme UI 2.0

Android 11 is a bit closer for the Realme 7 and Realme X2 Pro, after the beta program has officially opened. This beta program arrives, in fact, with some delay, well the initial roadmap placed both the Realme 7 and the Realme X2 Pro back in September 2020.

Better late than never, Realme UI 2.0 with its news and Android 11 they are already ready, at least, for a first beta version. To access the beta, it is mandatory to have a model from India -different from the global model- and follow the published instructions in the forums, including filling out a form.

Realme does not detail the news of this version, although it does indicate that the Realme 7 update has a common error pending to solve: the charging icon is displayed incorrectly when the phone is turned off. After installing this beta version, it is possible to go back to Android 10, although all data will be lost, so it is recommended to make a backup before updating.

In the rest of the regionsFor the moment, we can only wait. At the moment it is not clear if Realme will open the beta program in other countries or if it will directly release the update to users when it is ready, sometime in 2021.
