Android 11 arrives at Samsung's first foldable, the Galaxy Fold

Although Samsung continues to launch terminals with Android 10 in Spain even after months have passed since the presentation of Android 11, we must admit that it seems that this time it updates faster than in previous years.

We refer to the high-end models, the Galaxy S and Note, but also their flagship, the folding ones.

Just a week ago we reported that the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 was updated to Android 11 in Europe, specifically in Germany. Now it is the turn of his predecessor.

Samsung Galaxy Fold analysis: this may be the future of smartphones

It has been in the United Kingdom and France where they have begun to see the updates of these terminals. In addition, there are versions for both the 4G and 5G models. LTE variant is updated with firmware F900FXXU4DUA1 while 5G will use the F907BXXU4DUA1.

This update is consistent with the Android 11 release dates that Samsung provided a few weeks ago. In Spain it has not yet been seen but it will be a matter of a few days, at most a few weeks, before it begins to be received.

At the moment the updates are maintained in the high-end terminals. It will not be until March 2021 when we begin to see some mid-range terminals updated, such as the Galaxy A51. At least that’s how it will be if there are no last minute delays.

Android 11 and One UI 3.0

This update will include Google news, such as the conversations section in the notification area, the new permission management, the ability to resize the PIO windows and much more.

The Android 11 entry reaches the first Samsung folding, the Galaxy Fold appears first in The Free Android.
