As planned, Huami has today renewed its series of smart watches. We first met the Amazfit GTR 2 and now it’s the turn of his smaller brother with a rectangular screen, the new Amazfit GTS 2.
The Amazfit GTS 2 is basically like applying the novelties of the Amazfit GTR 2 to the GTS design line, gaining the same connectivity advantages Wi-Fi and NFC, speaker and microphone and storage for songs, but with a smaller size and, therefore, less autonomy.

If you have previously read the news that the second generation of Amazfit GTR 2 has received, you will find the same news in this Amazfit GTS 2. In the design part, it is especially noteworthy that the edge of the screen disappears, which now includes a small curvature in its axes and monopolizes most of the front.
This screen arrives at 1.35 inches, it’s AMOLED and has a resolution of 348 x 442 pixels. Like the previous generation, the GTS 2 has a single button as opposed to the two present on the Amazfit GTR 2.
The changes, however, go beyond the renovation in the design, and the Amazfit GTS 2 incorporates more intelligent functions that were not included in the first generation. This generation has internal storage – unspecified – capable of save between 300 and 600 MP3 songs via the NetEase streaming service, and that you can listen to with the smartwatch’s own speaker or in wireless headphones connected to it, without the intervention of the mobile.
In addition, a microphone is included that serves to interact with Xiaomi’s voice assistant, Xiao Ai, connectivity Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, as well as NFC which can be used to make payments on supported systems and regions.
SpO2 measurement arrives
In terms of health and sport, the star is the incorporation of the calculation of the level of oxygen saturation or SpO2, which joins sleep monitoring, continuous heart rate monitor and recording of 12 sports modes with the help of GPS.
The Amazfit GTS 2 is a little smaller than the GTR, mounting a 246 mAh battery that, according to the official measurements of the company should give for a typical use of 7 days or 25 hours of continuous GPS use.
