Amazfit brought to Spain a few months ago its new design smart watches, the Amazfit GTS 2 and GTR 2. After a somewhat longer wait than usual, we have been able to analyze one of them, the Amazfit GTS 2, a watch that differs from many rivals by having a speaker and a microphone in its box, something that allows us to use it to talk.

Amazfit watches have different form factors, and the GTS 2 bets on a rectangular case that is vaguely reminiscent of the Apple Watch. The 1.65 ″ diagonal of the screen means that the watch is not particularly large, something that users with small wrists are sure to appreciate.
Although it is quite reminiscent of the Zepp we analyzed, unlike these, the strap that comes in the box is made of silicone, giving a more economical feeling. The positive part is that the case conveys another sensation and, by changing the strap, we have a most elegant watch.
To squeeze the GTS 2, as with all watches, we need to use the compatible application, in this case Zepp.
In it we can control our sleep cycle, see the calories we have spent each day or control the weight if we enter it manually.
A function that has caught my attention is the one that allows create vibration patterns, to know if we get an SMS, a call or an alarm without even having to look at the clock. To create them we are pressing on the screen with the rhythms that we want.
Obviously, we can use the clock as an alarm clock setting alarms, measure our heart rate, blood oxygen saturation or see the weather.
The spheres are customizable and some can even change certain elements to suit our use.
We can also listen to music from the clock by loading the files from the application, or control the playback of what is playing on the phone, with music apps or podcasts.
In addition to the speaker, we can synchronize a bluetooth headset to be able to leave the phone at home if we only want to listen to music.
The star function of the GTR 2 and GTS 2 if we look at the specification sheet and compare it with its predecessors is the possibility of making calls.
This is possible thanks to the inclusion of a speaker and a microphone. As I comment in the video, this is one of the things that I miss the most when I analyze a watch that does not have this function.
Of course, we are not facing a watch with a good sound and it gives us the feeling that the size penalizes the quality of the speaker. It is not that it cannot be worn, I have done it almost daily to talk, but we do not have the quality of other watches.
On the contrary, the integrated microphone works well and our interlocutor will hear us without problems.
Another problem with wanting a small watch is that the battery it can house is not very large. In this case we have up to 7 days of autonomy according to the company, although the reality is closer to 5 days, with an average use of calls and notifications.
Charging is not particularly slow and with the included adapter we can have it charged in about an hour.
The title of this section could be the perfect summary for this Amazfit GTS 2. It is not the watch with the best sound quality, but it is a very decent bet in terms of price, design and functions.
Of course, if you are looking for something much cheaper, but that maintains the style (although it cannot make calls), take a look at the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini.
