Vivo is a brand belonging to the BBK group, like OPPO, OnePlus or Realme, which landed in Europe a few months ago with the Vivo Vivo X51 5G, Y70, Y20S and Y11S. There are four models in total in the price ranges of 149 to 799 euros, but something they all had in common is the Android version: launched with Android 10 with FuntouchOS 11.
If you got one of them, you won’t need to wait long to get your hands on the new version of the operating system: Android 11, as the brand has explained that the update will start to arrive as soon as November, accompanied by FuntouchOS and not OriginOS, which for the moment remains in Asia.
Android 11 for everyone, and soon
Vivo has launched four models in Spain at the moment in different ranges: the Vivo X51 5G with Snapdragon 765G, the Vivo Y70 with Snapdragon 665, the Vivo Y20 with Snapdragon 460 and the Vivo Y11s with the same processor, but a little more modest. The good news is that all of them will get Android 11, and soon.
The company has not disclosed exact dates, but the good news is that you won’t have to wait long to check them: the first to be updated will be the Vivo X51 5G, which will receive the update via OTA during the month of November.
The good news is that the update will also arrive quickly to the rest of the terminals, including the entry-level and mid-range ones. The Vivo Y70, Y20 and Y11s will be updated to Android 11 before the end of the year. That is, a maximum of two months since its launch for the update of mobiles of less than 200 euros such as the Vivo Y20 and Y11s, which is not bad.
