Adobe reinvents PDF and adapts it to the new times: new mode for Android and a bright future 1

In the digital world, PDF is one of the most standardized and widely used productivity formats, both in Spain and in the rest of the world. Textbooks, class notes, slides of a presentation or hand-made scans, the PDF format not only fits all, but it is also compatible with almost any type of device or operating system.

However, this compatibility has left much to be desired in the era in which the smartphone is as important or more important than the PC. At Adobe they know that they can do a better job to make the user experience completely satisfactory, and that is precisely what they have done.

In a survey conducted by Adobe the company says that 65% of Americans consider reading PDF on mobile as a frustrating experience, while 45% stop reading or even close the documents without reading, while 72% acknowledge that they would work on their mobile devices if it were easier to read documents. However, even without conducting that study, I think we all agree thatthere is a long way to goso that the experience of reading PDF on mobile is good enough.

For this reason, Adobe has unveiled its new function, which they have called Liquid Mode, or liquid mode. This function appears in the mobile application and if we press it, it will deconstruct the PDF that we have opened to convert it to a reading format perfectly adapted to mobile screens. If we press again we can read the PDF in its original display format.

The liquid mode not only changes the appearance, but also allows us to customize the display mode of the letter, both in size and distribution.

Adobe indicates that this new experience is debuting first on devices with Android, iOS and Chromebooks, and although we have currently updated the app and we do not have the function yet, it is most likely that during the next few days it will begin to reach everyone . In the same way, the company is sure that in the future they will add new improvements to PDFs thanks to their Adobe Sensei AI.

The entry Adobe reinvents PDFs and adapts them to the new times: a new mode for Android and a bright future appears first in The Free Android.
