On several occasions we have made echo of the booms of Windows Defender. The system of protection for computers with Windows that allows users who do not have to count, on a mandatory basis, with an antivirus of other brands.
Windows Defender is integrated in the system and offers protection against external threats thanks to the constant updates it receives. Put the day that are however not free of problems, as seems to happen with the most recent that has been released by Microsoft.
Windows Defender why it fails?
And is that apparently the new update released by Microsoft for Windows Defender has become to generate problems. failures that relate to users in threads open to such effect in the Microsoft forums or in Reddit. In them are echoes of a bug that makes that during the scan, and Windows Defender to ignore a large amount of files.
When you start an antivirus scan with Windows Defender, the system ignores files in an amount variable with the message “The anti-virus scan of Windows Defender missed an item due to the configuration of exclusion or network analysis”.
The error affects only to computers with Windows 10 and that feature with the version 4.18.2003 or a later Windows Defender. In these cases the same message appears and it does so both to perform a quick scan or manual a complete scan.
Some users argue that the failure is determined not to have folders excludedso that the system ignores any folders that are not in the exclusion list.
We have just done the test with a quick scan, looking for threats, and the system has shown a message with the same error that we have seen previously, although it has only limited to a file.
For now Microsoft has not acknowledged the problem and therefore, there is a solution to this bug, so if you want to have well-protected your computer, and Windows Defender gives you problems, you can choose either by a third-party antivirus or a solution in line.
